Skin Health Basics
Brand, logo, label, packaging design, and photography for Skin Health Basics, a high-end, woman-owned skincare product line, based in Huntington Beach, CA. BIPOC founder, Paola Guzmán, already owned a brick and mortar esthetic spa and salon, but during the pandemic while she wasn’t able to offer most of these services due to COVID health restrictions, she also decided to launch her own product line. Paola reached out to me and I jumped at the opportunity to co-create all things visual with her. We started with her logo, developing the rest of the visual identity over time — colors, fonts, patterns, labels, packaging, social media templates, and shirts. Once we had the final products in hand, Paola booked me to snap professional photos of the collection. We coordinated the shoot while I was living and traveling nomadically in different states throughout the USA, I styled and shot all of the pictures using natural light in an AirBnb I was staying in at the time, and communicated with Paola each step of the way to ensure I could capture the essence she was hoping for. The end result was exactly what Paola wanted, and I was pumped to have contributed in so many meaingful ways.
