Out West Design Co.
Brand, logo, merch and apparel design for Out West Design Co., a woman-owned boutique apparel line, clothing, and gift shop in Capitola, Santa Cruz, California. Founder and Owner, Shannon Juliana, and I had a total blast collaborating on the creation of dozens of custom hand drawn and digital illustrations, typography, and graphics per Shannon’s rad ideas revolving around concepts and color. Inspired by the famous Santa Cruz Skateboards hoodie, t-shirt, and clothing line, Shannon wanted to create an iconic Santa Cruz based clothing brand and shop that was more gender neutral, but also female forward. Think: California surfer girls, flowers, sunshine, waves, palm trees, and good vibes. She uses a heat press and prints the art onto all of the hoodies and tees herself, while outsourcing more complex things like embroidery, enamel pins, etc. We have an on-going working relationship and are excited to roll out new tees, hoodies, hats, stickers, enamel pins, and more in years to come. Looking forward to watching this brand continue to grow and become recognizable nationwide.
